Cross Copy Weekly – Sept. 21, 2018

SOCCER Night Lights!

The Crusader soccer team will play under the lights at home on Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7:00 vs. Crossroads. Come to cheer them on and enjoy the crisp night air and some Crusader concessions! No admission will be charged.

The Crusaders are on a victory streak, winning 4 of their last 5 games. In the 3-1 win over McCluer North on Sept. 20, senior Tom Xu scored the hat trick (3 goals)! Keep it up, Crusaders!

Deadline Tuesday!

Don’t forget to turn in your TJ’s Pizza & Dessert order by Tuesday, Sept. 25 to earn free items and benefit the LHSN music department. Thanks for your support!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Appointment post cards were put in the mail today (9/21). If you requested conferences, look for the white post card in your mailbox and be prompt for your 10-minute appointment times, please. The teachers are expecting you!

Remember that school dismisses at 11:30 on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 27/28. Please make arrangements for your student to be taken home after school or practice.

Fun 4 Purpose Carnival

Please join us tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 22 for a family fun-filled day! LHSN will host the Kingdom State University Community Carnival saluting education from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Enjoy free admission and food, raffle giveaways, games, prizes, inflatables, special scholarship presentation, and more!

This event was originally scheduled for Sept. 8 and re-scheduled due to inclement weather. We hope the students and parents who signed up to help will be able to attend!

Restaurant Fundraisers

The LHSN Women’s Tennis Team would appreciate your help! Come to the Chipotle at 2391 Lindbergh in Florissant on Wednesday, Sept. 26 between 4:00 and 8:00. Bring this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting their cause. A whopping 33% of the proceeds will be donated to the team!

Project Graduation will have a McTeacher’s Night at McDonalds, 9131 W. Florissant on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 4-8 p.m. Satisfy your Big Mac attack and help Project Graduation at the same time! By the way, the next Project Graduation meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16.

Freshman & Sophomore Parents!

If you’re looking for something to do that is close to school while your freshman or sophomore is attending the Homecoming dance on Oct. 6, please join us for a PARENT SOCIAL hosted by the Mothers’ Club.

The social gathering will be held at a home in Ferguson – about 5 minutes from campus –  and is just an opportunity to get to know each other.

If you are interested in attending, please email Denise DiMercurio,, or Mary Shay,, for more information.

All juniors were taken to the North County College Fair at UMSL last Thursday and were exposed to over 75 colleges – a great start to their research! Take a look.

Remember the School-wide Testing Day at LHSN on Tuesday, Oct. 2, for grades 9-11. (Seniors have the day off… a great time for a college visit!) A detailed letter regarding this testing, and the schedule for the day, was mailed to homes and is available here.

Congrats to the Volleyball Team!

The Crusader Varsity Volleyball team went undefeated to take 1st place at the McCluer Tournament last weekend. Way to go, ladies!
