Each month at the Senior Breakfast, we recognize seniors who were “caught” displaying the five leadership characteristics taught at the Leadership Retreat: Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Encourage the Heart, Enable Others to Act, and Challenge the Process. Seniors can be nominated by their teachers or their peers.
At the November breakfast, the following seniors were recognized for various leadership actions (pictured left to right): Jordyn White, Josh Hopkins, Victoria Chandler, Orece Robinson, Becca Roth, Greg Carr, Jessica Molden, Zach Roeglin, and Katie Laffold. Honorees not pictured included Tieryn Minor, Edward Keith, and Kaylynn Hayden. We’re proud of you, seniors!
District Music Honors
Congratulations to Alexander Paul and Nate Laesch! During the month of October, District Honors Choir and District Honors Band auditions took place. Both Alex and Nate have the distinct honor of being chosen for these groups – Alex for District Choir and Nate for District Band. Way to go, Crusader musicians!
Special Guest Speakers
Last Friday, Mr. Endorf’s Personal Finance class had a few guest speakers to discuss banking careers. Kristina Stierholz, Anthony Ricks, and Gerald Kirk shared their career and educational paths before presenting on the financial industry. Kristina and Anthony, who both work at the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank, informed students on what the FED looks for in candidates applying for jobs. Soft skills are just as important as hard skills.
All three speakers emphasized to students that “North is a special place” where students learn how to put the work in while growing their relationship with Christ, reminding them they are not alone when they leave.
Gerald mentioned he acquired a history minor mostly because of his influential high school history teacher, Mr. Mac. How have you influenced those around you? Mr. Endorf is curious as to who from the North community has influenced you over the years and how? Feel free to drop an email to him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Visiting World Wide Technology
Lutheran North recently had the privilege of being selected to attend the High School Open House at the World Wide Technology headquarters in Westport. Mr. Brackman accompanied ten Crusaders for a tour, presentations, and lunch at the awesome new facility. The following Crusaders enjoyed this enriching experience: Jonah Koch, Edward Keith, Isaac Stout, Ariana Ross, Carl Walker, Kemi Omolayo, Stephanie Njeri, Liberty Webb, Tony Walker, and Moriah Morrow.

Heather will also be explaining the link between social media and dating app usage, pornography, and sex trafficking.
