Don’t forget about the MLK essay and poetry contest. All who are interested must submit their writings in to Ms. Marshall TODAY, Jan. 31st.

It’s fun seeing all the doubles and triples today! Be sure to plan your outfit for tomorrow in your class color. Let’s all show our school spirit, Crusaders!

Hey Crusaders–want a way to thank a Veteran for his or her service to our country?  Join TREND in a Valentines for Vets card-making party after school this Wednesday, from 3:15-4:15 in the Counseling Center.  Bring a snack to share and your creativity.  Supplies for making cards will be provided.

Do you love writing or photography? Are you interested in learning more about layout and design? Do you enjoy working on computers? It’s time to select the yearbook staff for next school year. Miss Bork is looking for good students interested in working on the 2017-18 Crusader staff. If you are interested in writing, photography, and design, stop by room 106 to pick up an application. The staff is open to students who will be juniors and seniors next school year. Applications are due February 10th, so pick up yours today!

Crusaders! Help StuCo help the Concordia Seminary food pantry and win something for yourself to eat! We are collecting canned food items all this week to donate to the seminary food pantry. On Friday, we will weigh the food, balancing Lutheran North teachers. The more food you collect, the more teachers you lift up, the better your prize. It starts with popsicles and gets better from there. If the student body collects 1000 pounds of food, Student Council will buy everyone in the school pizza. Help us help Concordia Seminary and score something for yourself to eat. Donations can be left at the collection site by the main office.

Have you ever wanted to stick it to a teacher? Student Council is giving you that chance. All this week at lunch you have the chance to buy strips of duct tape for one dollar apiece or three for two dollars. On Friday at the pep rally, you will get to use your tape to help stick a Lutheran North faculty member to the wall of the gym. All proceeds will benefit our Crusader Polar Plunge team and the Missouri Special Olympics. Help StuCo help SOMO, and stick it to a teacher this week!
