The yearbooks are here! The yearbooks are here! As the year winds down, it’s time to look back on all the adventures we’ve had. Today, all students, seniors included, are invited to the cafeteria where sweet treats will be served and yearbooks will be distributed to the student body. Come enjoy the last Friday of the school year with us!

Seniors – your permission slips for the Project Graduation Lock-In after graduation are due NOW. If we have not received the permission slip by this Friday, May 17, you will not be admitted to the Lock-In. You can pick up a permission slip in the Counseling Center.

Attention Seniors: The English Department will be hosting its annual graduate/alumni picnic at Shakespeare in the Park on either Thursday, June 13th or Friday, June 14th. The specific date will be decided later this week. If you are interested in attending, please sign up outside any English teacher’s classroom. We will start dinner around 6:00, and the show begins at 8:00. We hope you can join us for food, fellowship, and some high culture!

Paper and notebooks and binders- oh my! As you clean out your locker at the end of the year, don’t just throw away usable school supplies. If you have supplies that are just headed to the trash, bring them to Miss Bork instead. Materials will be stored over the summer and given out on a first come first served basis next school year to those who need them. Drop materials by anytime between now and the end of the year.

Do you love sports? How about working with younger kids? Mr. Schoedel is looking for two students to be camp counselors for Rookie Sports Camp this summer. This camp teaches kids in grades 1-4 basics skills in some of the sports we offer at Lutheran North. The camp runs in the mornings during the first week of June. Camp counselors will earn 20 service hours. See Mr. Schoedel if you are interested.

Crusaders, hard to believe, but it’s time to start looking ahead to next school year. If you are enjoyed participating in student activities like Spirit Weeks, Homecoming, or Pep Rallies, here’s your chance to make them even better. Student Council is accepting applications for the 2019/20 school year. If you want to get involved in making LHSN a better place, fill out an application, get it signed by 2 of your teachers, and return it to Mr. Lorenz by Friday, April 26. Applications can be found in the Student Council topic of the LN Students section of OnCampus. Please note, current StuCo members are also required to sign up for next year.

Crusaders, summer break is getting so close you can taste it, but StuCo wants to throw one more party before the school year is over (and we’re not talking about Prom). On Friday May 3rd, it’s the annual end of the school year Glow Dance! Show up in your brightest neon colors and glow under the black lights. For just $3, you can light up LHSN one more time with all your friends from 7-10pm. Guest forms are available on OnCampus, and should be turned in to the office by May 1st. Wrap up the school year with one last blow out at the Glow Dance.
